This position is for 2.0 FTE Assistant Boys Basketball Coaches for the 2024-2025 season at Mariner High School. Anticipated dates needed will be November 1, 2024 through March 1, 2025.

  

The successful candidate will assist the head coach of the Boys Basketball team with the Varsity team and serve as JV and/or C- Team coach after school and on weekends. Knowledge of basketball and coaching techniques required. Prior high school coaching experience and played basketball beyond high school preferred.

  

Stipends are contingent upon the Mukilteo School District approving extra-curricular activities during the 24-25 school year as well as length of season and number of teams offered. 

 

Stipend listed is 2023-24 rates.

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in the growth and development of student athletes by focusing on fundamental skills instruction with an emphasis on whole child development to include expectations for academic and athletic excellence, leadership skills, and positive social relationships.  The Assistant Coach will maintain open and honest communication with students, parents, coaches, and administrators.  The Assistant Coach is also a role model in personal management, appearance, ethics, behavior, and sportsmanship.
