This is a 6.5 hour per day, with benefits, Conditional Paraeducator position at Kamiak High School for the 2024 - 25 school year only. Anticipated start date will be as soon as possible.

 


Hours for this position are 7:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

 

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support to a student. Duties may include but not limited to accompanying student to classes throughout the building, including lunch, restroom, PE, and swimming. Providing assistance in classes to help the student fully access the curriculum. Assisting the student with specialized curriculum. Encouraging and teaching use of technology for assignment completion. The Structured Program at Kamiak is a program for students with Autism or other characteristics often associated with Autism who require predictable routines and visual-based instruction.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs.  Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school.  May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
