This is a 6.5 hour per day, 180 days per year, Paraeducator position at Kamiak High School with benefits.  Anticipated start date will be the first day of school in September.

 

Hours for this position are 7:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.

 

The successful candidate will support 6-8 students targeting academic skills. Duties may include but not be limited to, accompanying student to classes throughout the building, including lunch, restroom, PE, and swimming. Providing assistance in classes to help the student fully access the curriculum. Assisting the student with specialized curriculum. Assisting classroom teachers. 


Minimum Qualifications: Right Response training (or willing to be trained).

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs.  Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school.  May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
