This is a 5.5 hours per day, 180 days per year Paraeducator - Behavior Support Specialist position with benefits at Voyager Middle School. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible.

 

Hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with middle school students who exhibit challenging behaviors.

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Assist students who are exhibiting behavior and social emotional actions that are impacting academic achievement in order to provide proactive behavior supports that refocuses the student.  Assist the teacher with designing, planning, and delivering lessons and activities that increase positive behavior in the classroom and around the school premises.  Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, and in the library.
