We are seeking a limited number of qualified individuals for our Emergency Substitute Teacher roster for 7.75 hours per day.  Emergency substitute teachers are utilized when we are experiencing a daily substitute shortage.  To be considered, you must have a four year college degree and have experience working with children.  The 2024-2025 daily rate of pay for emergency substitute teachers is $200 for a full-day and early release day; $100 for a half-day; $250 for Fridays marked as Learning Improvement Time (LIT). 

 

Approved candidates will need to complete a background check (fingerprints) and apply for state emergency substitute certification.  After receiving clearance and certification, which may take up to one month, candidates will be eligible to sub when the district is facing a substitute shortage.

 

Successful candidates will be required to attend Emergency Substitute Orientation on a date to be determined at the Mukilteo School District Office.
