This is an 8 hours per day, 180 days per year, 1:1 Paraeducator (6.5 hours) and Conditional Paraeducator (1.5 hours for the remainder of the 25-26 school year only) position with benefits at Harbour Pointe Middle School. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible.


Hours for this position are 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the teacher in the classroom with a student requiring 1:1 support. Responsibilities will also include assisting with before and after-school bussing support for the 25-26 school year only.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Successful experience youth with social-emotional and behavior
needs in a school or clinical setting.

JOB SUMMARY:


Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs.  Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school.  May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
