This is a 6.75 hour per day, 180 days per year, Paraeducator (5.75 hours) position, and includes a 173-day Nutrition Service I (1 hour) position, with benefits at Lake Stickney Elementary School. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible.

 

Hours for this position are 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

 

Includes 45 minutes of unpaid time from 12:30-1:15 (lunch and 15 min unpaid)
 

The successful candidate will support and instruct students to learn and regulate emotions during small group and whole group instruction. Must meet qualifications for the Paraeducator and Food Service positions. Duties include providing supervision of students between class periods, before and after school, walking and supervising students after school in all weather conditions, during lunches and recesses, and provide assistance to Nutrition Services. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a school setting with students who have multiple languages; students with learning and social emotional regulation needs.

 

Dual MESP/MACP position.

 

Rate of pay for positions:

 

Paraeducator (5.75 hours/day): $29.05 - $39.07/hour
Nutrition Service I (1 hour/day: $25.33 - $29.14/hour

Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs.  Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school.  May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
